Robert Williams III
Report: POR, Robert Williams agree to 3-year deal
Tue, Jun 30, 2026, 5:57 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the Trail Blazers and Robert Williams III have agreed to a three-year, $44 million deal.
Analysis: Even with past injury concerns, Williams was due to be a popular target in free agency for teams needing to bolster their center rotation. That won't happen now, as the Time Lord has reportedly agreed to a deal to remain in Portland. Williams appeared in 59 games last season, averaging 6.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 17.1 minutes. With Donovan Clingan penned in as the starting center, Williams' season-long fantasy value will be limited, but the blocks and rebounds can be useful.
Ja Morant
Report: Grizzlies trade Ja Morant to Trail Blazers
Mon, Jun 29, 2026, 10:40 AM
Shams Charania
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that the Grizzlies have traded Ja Morant to the Trail Blazers for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray.
Analysis: The second overall pick in the 2019 draft, Morant's time in Memphis has come to an end. While there were certainly high points, most notably his winning Rookie of the Year in 2020 and making two All-Star teams, the inability to stay healthy and off-court issues ultimately led the Grizzlies to seek a way to move on. Morant appeared in 20 games last season, averaging 19.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 8.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 three-pointers. With the Trail Blazers having Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday on the roster, it's fair to wonder if this will be Morant's final destination. He'll likely need a move to a third team to protect his fantasy ceiling in 2026-27.
Xavier Cooks
Trail Blazers tab Micah Nori as next head coach
Tue, Jun 23, 2026, 5:56 AM
Shams Charania
Trail Blazers hired Micah Nori as head coach.
Analysis: The news was first reported by ESPN's Shams Charania. Nori, 52, has been an NBA assistant coach since 2009 and most recently has been the lead assistant for Chris Finch and the Timberwolves since 2021. He and Finch were assistants together under Mike Malone in Denver, helping build an offense around Nikola Jokic that eventually led to a championship. Nori will be the 17th head coach in Trail Blazers franchise history. Portland was 42-40 last season and lost to the Spurs in five games in the first round of the playoffs.
Damian Lillard
Damian Lillard (Achilles) resumes playing 5-on-5
Thu, Apr 30, 2026, 9:26 AM
Sean Highkin
Damian Lillard (Achilles) said on Thursday that he has resumed playing 5-on-5 pickup games.
Analysis: Lillard ruptured his Achilles tendon during last season's playoffs, missing the entire 2025-26 campaign as a result. The veteran guard, who turns 36 in July, appears to be on track to return to action next season, as he has resumed playing 5-on-5. Lillard also noted on Thursday that, while nothing was ever said about him possibly playing this season, he did think about the possibility. With Lillard back in the fold, the Trail Blazers should be in a position to take a step forward after earning the No. 7 seed in this year's playoffs.
Deni Avdija
Deni Avdija scores 22 points in Game 5 loss
Tue, Apr 28, 2026, 6:36 PM
Deni Avdija led the Trail Blazers with 22 points (7-of-15 FGs, 7-of-11 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one block and one three-pointer in a 114-95 loss to the Spurs in Game 5 on Tuesday.
Analysis: Avdija enjoyed a breakout season, which led to his first All-Star appearance. He also guided the Blazers back to the playoffs for the first time since 2021, though that season has now come to a close. He was red-hot entering the playoffs, but the top-tier Spurs defense made things difficult for him, which limited his production. Avdija was selected in the fifth round in Yahoo! leagues, but it will likely take an earlier selection to nab him in fantasy drafts next season.
Robert Williams III
Robert Williams chips in 11/7 line off bench
Tue, Apr 28, 2026, 6:32 PM
Robert Williams provided a boost off the bench with 11 points (5-of-10 FGs), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one three-pointer against the Spurs on Thursday.
Analysis: It has been a few seasons since Williams was playing a full-time role, but he is a player that can make a massive impact in limited minutes. That was on full display in this series, and while it wasn't enough for the Trail Blazers to pull the upset, he is clearly still a valuable player. He's set to be a free agent this summer, which will be a complex situation, given his injury history. Wherever he ends up, he'll likely make a big impact on a value contract.
Scoot Henderson
Scoot Henderson limited to 17 minutes in Game 5
Tue, Apr 28, 2026, 6:29 PM
Scoot Henderson finished with five points (2-of-6 FGs), two rebounds and one three-pointer against the Spurs on Tuesday.
Analysis: Henderson's first playoff appearance had some good moments but ended on a sour note. Through the first three games, he averaged 23.3 points and 4.0 triples, which had many people thinking he was finally showing some of the potential that made him the No. 3 pick in 2023. However, he was held scoreless in Game 4, and while he was able to get some points on the board in this one, he was benched for the end of the game and limited to 17 minutes. Henderson is still only 22 years old and has plenty of time to figure things out, but he's going to have to make a major leap heading into next season to convince the Blazers he's still an important part of their future.
Jerami Grant
Jerami Grant contributes 17 points off the bench
Sun, Apr 26, 2026, 12:31 PM
Jerami Grant finished Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Spurs with 17 points (6-of-12 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one three-pointer.
Analysis: After totaling 23 points in the first three games of this series, Grant had his most productive outing in Game 4. Shooting 50 percent from the field, the veteran forward recorded a complete stat line in 33 minutes. With Scoot Henderson (two assists and one steal) missing all seven of his shot attempts, Grant's playing time jumped considerably, but it wasn't enough to keep the Trail Blazers from being outscored 73-35 in the second half. Game 5 is on Tuesday, with the Trail Blazers one loss away from elimination.
Jrue Holiday
Jrue Holiday hits three triples, scores 20 points
Sun, Apr 26, 2026, 12:30 PM
Jrue Holiday tallied 20 points (6-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Eleven of Portland's 18 turnovers in Game 4 were committed by two players. Holiday racked up six, while Deni Avdija was responsible for five. Holiday was solid as a scorer, shooting 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, but the mistakes were too much to overcome as the Spurs turned up the dial defensively in the second half. Holiday has scored at least 20 points in consecutive games, but he'll need to be more efficient as a playmaker if the Trail Blazers are to force a Game 6.
Deni Avdija
Deni Avdija scores team-high 26 points in Game 4
Sun, Apr 26, 2026, 12:29 PM
Deni Avdija accounted for 26 points (8-of-14 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Avdija had a good afternoon scoring-wise, but turnovers were once again an issue for him and the Trail Blazers. He was responsible for five turnovers, and the Trail Blazers recorded 18 as a team. Portland was one of the worst teams in the NBA during the regular season in terms of turnover percentage, and the margin for error gets slimmer in the postseason. If Avdija and the Trail Blazers are to force a Game 6, they need to clean up the mistakes.
Jrue Holiday
Jrue Holiday has 29 points in Game 3 loss Friday
Fri, Apr 24, 2026, 7:38 PM
Jrue Holiday had 29 points (12-of-18 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, four steals and five three-pointers in Friday's Game 3 loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Holiday scored 25 points combined in the first two games of this series and then exploded for 29 points in Game 3. Despite the admirable effort from the 35-year-old point guard, it wasn't enough as Portland dropped Game 3 at home by 12 points. Holiday and the Trail Blazers will try to even the series in Game 4 on Sunday.
Robert Williams III
Robert Williams III has 11 points in Game 2 win
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 4:48 PM
Robert Williams III had 11 points (5-of-6 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and one three-pointer in Tuesday's Game 2 victory over the Spurs.
Analysis: Williams played 23 minutes off the bench in the victory and had 11 points and nine rebounds. The 28-year-old center also had a put-back dunk and got fouled with 15 seconds left in regulation to put the Trail Blazers up by three. He'll continue to have a significant bench role in this series.
Scoot Henderson
Scoot Henderson has 31 points in Game 2 victory
Tue, Apr 21, 2026, 4:43 PM
Scoot Henderson had 31 points (11-of-17 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), one rebound, one steal, one block and five three-pointers in the Trail Blazers' 106-103 Game 2 victory over the Spurs on Tuesday.
Analysis: Henderson found his rhythm with a 15-point second half in Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Spurs and it carried over to Game 2 as he posted 31 points in the win. The 22-year-old guard's three-point shooting was a major factor in this one as he was 5-of-9 from behind the arc. The series shifts to Portland for Game 3 on Friday.
Jrue Holiday
Jrue Holiday scores nine, drops 11 dimes in Game 1
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:39 PM
Jrue Holiday added nine points (4-of-15 FGs), four rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Sunday's loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Holiday was cold from the field in Game 1, regardless of whether he was shooting inside the arc or beyond it. The two-time champion was one of three Blazers starters to shoot under 30.0 percent on the evening, contributing to Portland's overall offensive struggles. He did compensate for the scoring struggles by dishing out double-digit assists, doing so while committing only one turnover. Still, the Trail Blazers will likely need more production from Holiday as a scorer going forward.
Scoot Henderson
Scoot Henderson tallies 18 points in Game 1 loss
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:33 PM
Scoot Henderson logged 18 points (7-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in the loss to the Spurs on Sunday.
Analysis: After a quiet, three-point first half, Henderson found his rhythm in his playoff debut and scored 15 points after halftime to finish as Portland's second-leading scorer on the evening. Henderson shot efficiently in his 27 minutes both inside and outside the arc, and was one of the Blazers' more reliable starters overall. The former third-overall pick has logged some impressive scoring performances recently in his return from injury. He'll have a chance to build off some Game 1 momentum and carry it over on Tuesday when the Blazers and Spurs take the floor again.
Deni Avdija
Deni Avdija drops 30 points, has 10 boards in loss
Sun, Apr 19, 2026, 6:26 PM
Deni Avdija tallied 30 points (12-of-21 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Spurs.
Analysis: Avdija got off to a fast start in Sunday's outing. He logged 11 first-quarter points and added eight more to total 19 points at halftime. Yet, he was much less dominant the remainder of the game, taking just two shots in the third frame before logging six points in the fourth. Still, Avdija was the only Trail Blazer with more than 20 points on the evening. He'll likely need some of his teammates to contribute more on the offensive end if Portland wants to avoid dropping Game 2.
Jerami Grant
Jerami Grant (calf) scores 16 off bench in return
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 7:19 PM
Jerami Grant tallied 16 points (5-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, one block and four three-pointers in Tuesday's win over the Suns.
Analysis: Grant took the floor for the first time since late March and provided some huge moments on both ends of the floor during the fourth quarter. The veteran forward hit two massive three-pointers with under three minutes remaining, made a big defensive stop on Jordan Goodwin's game-tying putback attempt with seconds left, and then provided a punctuation-mark dunk on the other end to punch Portland's ticket to the playoffs. Grant was one of two Trail Blazers to make four three-pointers on the evening. He'll likely play an important role in the first-round series against the Spurs.
Jrue Holiday
Jrue Holiday tallies 21 points in win over Phoenix
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 7:08 PM
Jrue Holiday amassed 21 points (7-of-18 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and four three-pointers in the win over the Suns on Tuesday.
Analysis: Holiday logged 38 minutes in the win and provided much-needed scoring for the Blazers. The two-time NBA champion drained four three-pointers, including a big one down the stretch of the fourth quarter, to help keep Portland within striking distance. He didn't compile many other counting stats, yet his veteran presence in clutch time helped Portland come from behind and secure a playoff spot. The Trail Blazers will face San Antonio in the opening round.
Deni Avdija
Deni Avdija's 41 points puts Blazers in playoffs
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 7:02 PM
Deni Avdija tallied 41 points (15-of-22 FGs, 8-of-13 FGs), seven rebounds, 12 assists, two blocks and three three-pointers in the win over the Suns on Tuesday.
Analysis: Avdija was everything the Blazers needed down the stretch to mount a come-from-behind win. The first-time All-Star repeatedly got to the rim throughout the fourth quarter and ultimately scored the go-ahead layup with 16.1 seconds remaining. He finished with game-highs in points and assists while leading the Blazers from 11 points down midway through the final frame to mount a comeback that would secure them the seventh seed in the playoffs. Portland will face San Antonio in the opening round.
Jerami Grant
Jerami Grant (calf) available Tuesday vs. Phoenix
Tue, Apr 14, 2026, 3:02 PM
Marc J Spears
Jerami Grant (calf) is available to play against the Suns on Tuesday.
Analysis: The Trail Blazers will reintegrate the veteran forward on Tuesday as they look to punch their ticket to the playoffs. Grant played in 57 of the 82 regular-season games for Portland, with a calf injury costing him the last seven games. He's averaging 18.6 points per game thus far and will likely play a big role for the team in his return.
